Announcing the 2023 Class of the Girls Action Network (GAN) Summer STEM Enrichment Program. These seven national high school students were chosen for a highly selective summer program that connects exceptional individuals with STEM enrichment opportunities, executive mentors, and a network in the STEM sector.
The 2023 GAN Scholars:
Nyasa Bryson (Piscataway High School, Piscataway, NJ),
Nina Gokita (Lafayette High School, Williamsburg, VA),
Skylar Harris (Lovejoy High School, Jonesboro, GA),
Janiyah Samm (KIPP Newark Collegiate Academy, Irvington, NJ),
Xi Shillingford (The Chapin School, Bronx, NY),
Evonna Steele (West Orange High School, West Orange, NJ), and
Aaliyah Torres (Elizabeth High School, Elizabeth NJ)
Each GAN Scholar was provided a full tuition scholarship to attend the Smith College Summer Science & Engineering Program in Northampton, MA. The $50,000 scholarship funding for the 2023 GAN Scholars was made possible by donors, Girls Action Network, Inc. and Smith College.
