As part of the GAN Summer Scholarship Enrichment Program (SSEP), the Smith Science and Engineering Summer program provides opportunities to deserving young women from underserved communities, allowing them to experience engineering, mathematics, computers, science and learning through a comprehensive, one-month summer program located at Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts. PROGRAM DATES: July 9 – August 5, 2017. The initial application process includes the following components: (1) Students must complete the Smith application at http://www.smith.edu/summer/programs_ssep.php and Students must note “Girls’ Action Network” in their application in the “How did you hear about this program?” field. (2) Students must complete and submit the GAN Scholars SSEP essay – attached below. DEADLINE TO APPLY IS MARCH 18, 2017.
